How to do a safe organic apple cider vinegar detox

How to do a safe organic apple cider vinegar detox

Raw, unfiltered, organic apple cider vinegar is an inexpensive, readily available, cure-all tonic. It’s jam-packed with enzymes, vitamins, and minerals that help boost immunity and cleanse bacteria from the system. Its natural healing properties rid the body of all kinds of ailments ranging from acne to a sore throat to dandruff. Not to mention the loads of delicious salad dressings you can use it in (like this 5-minute vinaigrette).

Drinking organic apple cider vinegar  also has tons of benefits, particularly when it comes to beating bloat. When too many summer BBQs and beers have you feeling not-so-hot, an organic apple cider vinegar detox is one of the easiest and most effective natural ways to refresh and cleanse the digestive tract.

This OACV recipe is great as a one-time dose before or after a meal. But to take it a step further, drink this elixir as a morning detox drink every day for up to three days. During those days, drink plenty of water and eat only fresh fruit, veggies, whole grains, and lean protein. Lay off the junk food, coffee, and otherwise sugary food and drinks. Also, read up on some of these OACV side effects and make sure you detox carefully, and within your body’s limits.

OACV MORNING DETOX DRINK RECIPE

Ingredients:
4 cups of water
4 tbsp organic apple cider vinegar with the mother (yes, that gross looking floaty stuff is super good for you!)
4 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp ground cinnamon
4 tbsp honey

Boil the water and stir in the lemon juice, cinnamon, and honey. Let the mixture cool slightly, then add the apple cider vinegar. Drink right away for an organic apple cider vinegar detox tea, or store in the fridge in a glass jar for a cool detox drink (lasts for up to a week). Experiment with adding more water if the recipe is too strong for you.
