Jumping In leaves! 6 Creative Spins on Classic Fall Fun

You Want to make raking the leaves fun for your kids or yourselves? Come look at these six jumping in leaves ideas for after fun! This is a great way to convince them to help you, so that way you can not only have your kids have fun but you as well. Why not make something not so fun, and put a twist on it and make it fun so they have something to look forward to!

Not only will your kids love these ideas, but also your pets, and yourself because you can take fun cute pictures, but also they can stay busy while you do the things you need to do. Below are six ways in which you, your family, and others can have a great time while doing the things we all don’t love to do.

  • The Great Leaf-Gathering Race
    • Can you turn a chore into fun, well here it is. Lets see who can fill a bucket, trash can or trash bag the fastest.
    • Have your children put on some gloves, pick the object you want to fill and have some fun with it.
    • You set a timer to see how long it takes your kids to help fill all the containers you want
    • If you are working with kids that's all different ages, why not give the older ones a bigger bucket or whatever you are having them fill it with so that way it can be more challenging for them.
      • Examples of ways to make it harder for the older ones
        • You can also put a twist on it for older kids by saying only using one hand to carry the bucket
        • One hand to put leaves into the bucket
        • To have to walk backwards
        • Etc..
      • To make it for your younger siblings
  • Build a Leaf Labyrinth
    • Be creative by making a maze out of leaves that you won’t be able to clean up afterwards
    • Begin by raking a spot in your yard for room(such as making it so nothing is there clean)
    • Then proceed with making the leaves form a line in which that will become a labyrinth, and that has a beginning and an end, as well as having roadblocks in between.
    • You can keep it however you want. If you want it simple you could just make a spiral path
  • Make a Leaf Rainbow
    • Make a leaf rainbow by going and finding all the different colored leaves that you want and arrange them by making a rainbow out of it.
    • You can make it fun by gluing leaves on a piece of paper or you could even tie the leaves on the string to use for fall decorations
    • If you want to keep the leaves throughout the the season you can always laminate them by placing them inside two pieces of contact paper or clear packing tape, and then you can even cut them out.
  • A Twist on the Big Pile of Leaves
    • Instead of just making one big pile of leaves, why don’t you think about switching up and having a small trail of smaller piles of leaves so that you can make it fun by having your kids jump into the smaller ones before getting to the bigger one.
    • You can switch it up even more and make it a little game or even like challenges that they could do to go through it again.
  • Treasure Hunt, leaf-Pile Style
    • Collect some fun and awesome objects (fall items) such as small pumpkins or cookie cutters stickers etc. and make it a treasure hunt
      • Stick them in the pile of leaves
    • Give your kids a list of objects that are in the pile and have them find it
    • And then they are able to start the hunt
  • Preserve Fall Finds (and Memories)
    • Kids love to find so many different types of leaves on there treasure hunts
    • Have fun with it and go to the store and grab a memory book at the craft store and a photo album of everything in there
    • That way you and you child can keep those awesome memories that you have had together forever
